Neo 460 Hull #1 Launched in Bari, Italy

The first Neo 460 has been launched in Bari, Italy. This is a serious fast-cruising yacht. Clean, powerful and designed for owners who want real performance without turning the boat into an uncomfortable racing machine.

Banks Sails developed the complete sailplan and supplied the sails for hull #1. That work started long before the boat touched the water. Sail area, balance, rig geometry, reefing options and handling all had to be considered as one complete system.

A fast cruiser needs more than light sails and expensive materials. The boat must remain balanced, manageable and efficient across a wide wind range. The sails need to produce power in light conditions, remain stable as the pressure increases and still be practical for a cruising crew. That is where proper sailplan development matters.

For the Neo 460, the objective was clear: high performance, clean handling and no unnecessary complications. The sail inventory was developed around the actual characteristics of the yacht.

Hull #1 is now in the water, and the next stage begins: sailing, testing and refining the complete setup in real conditions.
