CHICCO SAILING TEAM CLAIMS BRILLIANT 3RD PLACE AT ORC WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2026

Sorrento, Italy — CHICCO SAILING TEAM has delivered a superb performance at the ORC World Championship 2026, securing 3rd place in Class C Corinthian with their IMX 38 COSIXTY 8.
In a highly competitive international fleet, the team showed consistency, determination and sharp race management throughout the championship. Finishing on the podium at world championship level is already a major achievement — doing it with an IMX 38, a design with roots in the early nineties, makes the result even more impressive.
While many competitors arrived with newer, more modern boats, CHICCO SAILING TEAM proved once again that preparation, teamwork and good boat handling still matter. Their result is a strong reminder that even an older boat, sailed hard and sailed well, can still punch far above its age. 👊👊
The Corinthian division is all about committed amateur sailors competing at the highest level, and CHICCO SAILING TEAM embodied that spirit perfectly. Race after race, the crew kept the pressure on, stayed consistent, and brought COSIXTY 8 onto the world championship podium. Well done team!
A fantastic result for the whole team and a well-earned reward for skill, persistence and trust in a proven boat.
