CHOOSE YOUR CRUISING MEMBRANE

Our MEMBRANE technology
At Banks Sails, we build cruising sails with a clear purpose: durability and performance without compromise. Every sail is designed to withstand years of use, with materials carefully selected for strength, UV resistance, and shape retention. For 2026 we developed a new laminate range using Dimension-Polyant latest top-tier base layers, taffeta and structural skins.
All our sails are developed and built 100% in-house, right here in the EU. That control allows us to deliver consistent quality, smart construction details, and performance you’ll feel on every tack. It’s the standard we hold for sailors who expect results and know the worth of every euro.

Cruise P is your entry ticket into the world of true high-performance MEMBRANE sails. Engineered with high-modulus polyester yarns and available in a clean white, light or dark grey, or bold black look, these sails are designed for sailors who take performance seriously, up to 36 footer, Cruise P delivers dependable speed, control, and shape stability without sacrificing reliability.
Every Cruise P membrane is built specifically for your boat, your rig, and your sailing style. You define the performance profile, we tailor the structure. The result is a membrane sail that looks sharp, handles hard use, and keeps its shape when it matters most.
Sail material defines the limits of your sail: how light, how stiff, how tough. The design decides how close you can live to those limits without crossing them. That’s why we obsess over design first, and material second. Given a strong design, upgrading material brings real gains! With a weak design, you’re just throwing expensive fibers at a geometry problem.

Cruise K takes you a step deeper into the world of our high-performance MEMBRANE sails. Built with a full high-modulus aramid fiber layout, these sails combine excellent tensile strength, low weight and impressive impact absorption. The result is a fast, reliable membrane engineered for sailors who push hard, who expect durability, and want that “locked-in” feeling on the helm without stepping into carbon.
Designed to be versatile, Cruise K works on a wide range of yachts and is especially well-suited for boat up to 45 feet. It’s the ideal choice wherever the hull and rig characteristics don’t demand carbon, but performance still matters. With Cruise K, you get a tough, responsive membrane sail that holds its shape, keeps its edge longer, and gives you the confidence to sail aggressively in real-world conditions.

Cruise S is your first real step into the hybrid MEMBRANE arena. By combining high-modulus aramid with carbon fibers, this membrane delivers a clear jump in performance over full-aramid builds: more stability, better shape retention, and stronger power handling, especially as the breeze and loads increase. It’s the option for sailors who want to feel the extra punch and control that carbon brings, without going all-in on a full carbon specification.
Optimized for medium to large yachts, Cruise S is engineered to match the structural reality of your boat, not a generic polar. The carbon content can be tuned up to 60% of DPI density, allowing us to precisely balance stiffness, durability, and responsiveness around your hull, rig, and sailing program. The result is a hybrid membrane that feels sharper, lasts longer, and keeps driving when other sails start to lose their edge.

Cruise Q sits at the very top of our MEMBRANE range – where “Q” still means one thing: Quality. This is the ultimate performance membrane, built for sailors who measure value in boat lengths at the finish line, not in brochures. Engineered with a highly optimized carbon structure, Cruise Q turns every gust into forward motion, delivering explosive acceleration, precise helm feel, and relentless shape stability across the complete wind range.
Developed for pure performance cruising, Cruise Q pushes carbon usage to the maximum, with up to 80% carbon content by DPI density. That makes it the natural choice wherever hull and rig demand the highest possible structural performance: full carbon boats, carbon mast powered with, and where second-best isn’t on the table. In Cruise Q, top-end speed, responsiveness, and durability converge into a single purpose-built membrane: perfection in drive and control.
