At Banks Sails, we like things done properly. No myths. No shortcuts. No folklore.

Our membranes are built through true chemical bonding. A two-component polymer that connects directly to every fiber on the Mylar film surface. It forms a structural “net” that locks everything together but still stays soft inside. That balance between brutal strength and refined feel is what makes a sail you can actually trust when the breeze starts to bite.

No “craft-store glue” here.. No quick fixes. Definitely no “good enough.” We leave that for the -less laminators out there. Real sails take real production time done by real people. Do our membranes take longer production time due to longer but proper post-cure? Absolutely. Do they need serious, slow controlled pressure? You bet. With the pressure we use you could crush your car in a second.. that’s the kind of pressure we use to get it right. And that’s exactly why most high-speed, high-volume lofts can’t do it. They’re busy chasing production speed and “faster lamination techniques.” We’ve seen them. We’ve even tested them too. Then we went back to what actually works best. It's not hard to understand: we are sailors too.. we are on the race track too.

And funny enough, Mylar film and proper lamination still produce the best membranes, the proof is there. It’s strong, incredible stable, long-lasting and predictable.. everything you need when performance matters more than marketing. That’s why our membranes last longer, weigh less, hold their shape much much better, and perform like nothing else on the water. No size limit, no matter if you sail a 100+ footer, or a 25ft'er. We cover it all. Premium membrane sails that don’t require selling your boat to afford them..

A SAIL IS BETTER THAN ANOTHER WHEN: IT IS FASTER, IT IS LIGHTER, IT IS LONGER LASTING, ITS IS NOT INSANELY EXPENSIVE
