Our Lorenzo has been quite busy lately.
One of the projects on his table was a very special one: a new set of membrane sails for Azzurra, a yacht with a name that carries real weight in Italian sailing history.
Azzurra is a 12 Metre yacht. And no, that does not simply mean she is twelve metres long. The 12 Metre class, or 12mR, is a measurement-rule class.
For Italy, Azzurra is more than just a beautiful racing yacht. They represents an important chapter in Italian yachting life. Sails made from our Membrane Q Technology.
The goal of Nicola Vecchiola, the owner of the boat, is to take part this year with Azzurra (3) at the Regatta del Conero in Ancona and at the Barcolana Classic in Trieste. And then, in 2027, to participate in the great reunion of the 12 Metres S.I. in Naples, on the sidelines of the America’s Cup regattas number 38.
